Scrap Challenge- Pinterest Love!

Every week i am posting a new challenge. let's get out of our scrapbooking "go-to-box".  Let's do less pinning and dreaming..... actually MAKE something.   even a little part of a project is better than nothing ;)

This morning, i was talking to one of my daughter's preschool teachers and another fellow mom. we were discussing our hate/love relationship with pinterest. we love the ideas, but the pressure we/society put on ourselves to DO all of those crafts and to BE martha steward is just frustrating and not realistic. ( ie. i am pretty sure my family will be just fine if i do not complete the list of 3057025542 things to do this summer, churn my own butter, and make my own body soap)
anywho, with that said.... i still LOVE PINTEREST. So let's use that page as what it's intended to be-- a tool for inspiration, sharing, and the love of creating. ( NOT as "the standard" to how our daily lives should be!)
Go on pinterest and find a pin that inspires you, brings joy, helps with a task, gives you hope, makes you laugh.. whatever! Do it.
make that meal- report back some feedback wink emoticon
Print off that inspirational quote you love it and stick it on your fridge
do that workout
Try that cleaning hack ( and let us know if it actually works!)
and, of course, if you find a crafty post, do that too. smile emoticon

breathe. do something that makes you smile, post a pic/tell us what you did ( and share the pin, if you are so inclined!)
Life is hard enough, let's spend a few minutes enjoying it.

My Response:

this was my inspiration pin : https://www.pinterest.com/pin/251709066652610118/

and this is my page:

I had some random pics of my daughter that worked great for this one-pager. i love the sentiment, but i need to change the colors of the printable to match up with my photos and the papers.

the papers were ooooolllllddddd ( old!)  i dont know where i got that polka dot paper from , but the colors worked great with the color of the sash on the dress.  the mats were also from my scrap bin!
i have quite a few of the purple lace pages ( i bought it bulk to save $$ and in turn i ended up with too many! haha), so i was glad i was able to trim one in a kiwi "swoosh" to have an elegant pattern for the page.

the best part? i also submitted this photo in response to Kiwi Lane's challenge and i WON!!! whoo hoo!!!!!!! i cant wait to get my new accessory in the mail ;) i will make sure to show it off ;)
